I

My first experience as a reporter came when I was 20-years-old while working for Simmons Multimedia.  I was sent to cover an emergency situation which was developing in a neighboring town.  A dam was on the brink of breaching which put the small town of Walhalla, ND in grave danger.

Without a clue of the seriousness of the situation, I walked in the rain and mud, began crossing the dam with microphone and recorder in hand, to interview the emergency management coordinator.

That day began a path that would eventually lead me to a degree in multimedia journalism.  I've produced content for several local media organizations.  Check out my work for KZIM KSIM in Cape Girardeau.
